There are many ways to support the Land Trust. All cash contributions are tax-deductible. Consult your tax advisor for details. Email our Development team or call us at (530) 582-4711 with any questions you may have.
Many people find it easier to make a smaller contribution each month, thereby increasing their total support without financial difficulty. By providing reliable funding and helping with our planning, monthly givers help us protect more land. We can charge your credit card in an amount you specify each month.
Gifts of Stock
Gifts of long-term appreciated stock and mutual fund shares are an easy way to make a lasting contribution. Benefits include: income tax saving, capital gain tax savings, and provide crucial support to the Land Trust.
Memorial Gifts & Honorary Giving
Give tribute with an “in memory of” or “in honor of” friends or loved ones in recognition of special occasions such as birthdays, holidays, weddings, anniversaries, and graduations. We will happily and swiftly mail an acknowledgement to those you are honoring or their family.
Donations of goods or services can also be tax-deductible and in-kind friends are acknowledged in many of our communications materials. Please reach out to the Land Trust office for more information about how to donate your goods or services.
Twice the Impact with Matching Gifts
Many companies will double the value of their employees’ gifts to non-profit organizations, but research shows that only one in ten eligible donors takes advantage of corporate matching programs, leaving upwards of $5 billion of potential matching donations unclaimed. Check with your company to see if they offer a matching gift program, and help the Land Trust obtain vital funds to do its work.
Donner Lake Rim Trail, Adopt-A-Quarter-Mile
Consider a $1,000 contribution to adopt a quarter mile along the Rim Trail. This is great way to memorialize your family’s enjoyment of trails. Donors will be recognized on a plaque at one of the trailhead informational kiosks. This is a great way to create a legacy that will benefit the entire community.
