Truckee Donner Land Trust’s Board and Staff would like to say thank you and best of luck to Ward Fansler, our long-time CFO as he moves on from the Land Trust this fall.

Ward has been a stellar steward of the Land Trust’s finances and crucial in many other aspects of the Land Trust’s work, helping design funding strategies for complex land acquisitions and managing capital projects such as the Webber Hotel restoration.

“Ward has done an incredible job in keeping the Land Trust financially stable during the economic ups and downs of the last few years, helping to ensure we don’t miss an opportunity to conserve lands and care for them in perpetuity,” said John Svahn, Executive Director of the Land Trust.

Ward’s steady hand at the finance helm helped ensure the Land Trust’s success in recent acquisitions including Lower Carpenter Valley, Frog Lake, Red Mountain & Carpenter Ridge, and most recently Truckee Springs.

The Land Trust greatly appreciates all that Ward has done and wishes him the best of luck in the future.
